Unit 2: The Cell

Unit 2 will focus on topics related to the studies of the cell. We will properly use a light microscope to make comparisons between plant and animal cells and prokaryotes versus eukaryotes. We will also investigate the cellular organelles and how they function together as a whole unit. The final portion of this unit will focus on movement across the cell membrane. We will study the structure of the cell membrane as well as the different pathways that molecules use in order to travel in and out of the cell.
